CLIENT BRIEF

Building AMR's from the ground up, targeted

towards high end clients/spaces/context.

Specifically for VIP Lounges, Waiting halls,

Exclusive Private event spaces and much more.

What's an AMR?

Simple, a short for Autonomous Mobility Robots!

There are multiple kind’s of AMRs

Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) are robots that can

navigate and operate in real environments without fixed

guidance (like tracks or markers). Unliketraditional AGVs,

they use sensors, cameras, and AI to understand

surroundings and make decisions in real time.

POPULAR AMR INDUSTRIES;

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY;

01

THE PRIMARY

Visiting high-end hotels & restaurants and interviewing the staff and customers

Referring to current hospitality AMRs in the real world and in fiction

Understanding the functions and tasks of AMRs and how they are operated

Visiting locations which have AMRs deployed within them

Visiting manufacturers which produce similar service bots

02

SECONDARY

Competitor analysis

Researching AMRs at a global scale

Finding commonalities within a vast variety of service robots

Desired features in an AMR

Finding out new ways a bot can provide service

Common patterns in aesthetics

And POP CULTURE!

ABOUT CLIENT;

ATSN ROBOTICS

Intelligence in Motion

Bringing intelligent autonomous robots into the spaces

where people live, work, and interact.

THEIR GOAL,

Breaking into the AMR industry through service robots

targeted towards Luxury & Hospitality market.

THEIR ON-GOING PROTOTYPE

Building brand value through final AMR aesthetics and

bringing them niche markets/spaces/contexts for the

service robots to be deployed within.

ATSN'S CURRENT CONCEPT'S:

The current Zippy 6, and Argo are 2 bots made to transport

goods around warehouse like locations.

The current prototype is a placeholder for testing all the

functioning systems and sensors required for AMR's

WHAT I PROVIDED,

The early prototype with ATSN consisted of

a simple T-Slot Chassis, complete with lidars

and depth sensors & the laptop acting as a

placeholder brain.

WHAT'S ALREADY OUT THERE?

Digging through what the AMR Industry currently

holds as its benchmark. Looking at upcoming

and emerging robotic startups and well settled

companies producing AMR's for a multitudes of

customers, context's, locations, needs and more!

Visiting Companies like Kody Robotics and more

for gaining knowledge about building AMRs from

the best within the Indian and International Industry

LUGGAGE ASSISTANCE

SECURITY/SURVEILLANCE

CREATING A VISUAL LIBRARY

THROUGH HANDS ON WORK

Gaining context and aesthetic knowledge through

extensive research of form and functionality of the

current market leading AMR producers.

DEPLOYMENT CONTEXTS,

Along with the ongoing research, also looking into

what other unique locations which could benefit with AMRs

FIELD RESEARCH AND INTERVIEWS,

The primary field research consisted of Visiting

many spaces, high-end hotels

and restaurants; Interviewing the staff and

professionals withing thehospitality industry.

It also consisted a lot of analyzing the surfaces and conditions

an AMR would face. Interviewing the staff and leading personell

I was able to gather insights and ways an AMR can accompany

or even provide more than just assistance to the hospitality staff.

Above are a few of the notable locations of research. Camera

access was restricted due to the privacy of the customers.

Key insights consisted of surface differences, customer-

interactions, staff opinions and professional perspectives.
